Kilrush Rangers 0-4 Newmarket Celtic A
The A team continued their perfect start to the season with another win in a tough midweek away game.
Having gone to O'Briensbridge and come away with all three points last Wednesday night, this time it was Kilrush and again, it was three points.
Through the first half, Davy McCarthy won a penalty before taking it himself and seeing the Kilrush keeper pull of a wonderful save.
He made amends not long after when a long punt forward by Shane Cusack was misjudged by the goalkeeper who could only watch as it bounced over his head and McCarthy glanced into an empty net.
It remained that way at the break but Kilrush didn't bank on a far sharper Newmarket coming out for the second half.
Tino Nzvaura added a second for Celtic who were beginning to unload the bench and the fresh legs were causing havoc.
One of those substitutes Daithi O'Connell added the third after being set up by McCarthy and the scoring was completed by another sub in Alan Brigdale.
Another punt forward/pinpoint pass from the goalkeeper fell to Brigdale who was able to toe poke home and make it four games, four wins and 18 goals scored.
